Graphic Design
These designs were created during my attendance at California State University of Sacramento in the Graphic Design Program.
This main idea for this project was to create an event poster for a band called The Nickel Slots. To create this poster, I gathered references and information about the band itself. They used a lot of oranges and browns in their previous posters, so I incorporated that into the design. I was inspired by rock music, and decided to include an electric guitar in the poster. I added some dimension such as layers and drop shadows to create depth. This project allowed me to create something I was proud of, using all of the skills I had learned so far about design.
The main idea for this project was to create an event poster for two performances by Lady Wray and Brainstory. For this project, I did a lot of research on the main performer, Lady Wray, and collected inspiration from her past performance posters.I found that pink and yellow were frequently used, so I kept that aspect in the design. I decided to create a 3D effect for the design to create more dimension.
The main instruction for this project was to create a brochure for a popular photographer. I chose Ansel Adams because I have been inspired by his work for years. I decided to use green as an accent color throughout the design to symbolize nature, which was the main focus of his photographs. This brochure was like a biography, and explained an overview of who he is, his early life, his breakthroughs, and his later life. At this point, I was learning the importance of layout and the use of grids.
This Corporate ID project was my first project where I was able to create my own business and business system. It required a lot of research to develop a functional business that stands out among other burger restaurants in Sacramento. The name of this business is Burger Bytes, and it specializes in serving bite-sized hamburgers, and includes an arcade with many types of games. For the logo, I incorporated a pixelized hamburger that symbolized the burgers and the video games. The name, Burger Bytes, is a play on words to represent a unit of memory size in the digital realm and the bite-sized burgers. The business system includes a letter, a business card, and a postcard.
Herky International
The Herky International project was centered around creating a professional user experience consulting service for the new mixed-use Downtown SacramentoHerky Campus (DSHC). This includes a wayfinding strategy, brand development, and a motion graphic. The designs called for extensive research to create human-centered interactions and wayfinding.
The Nammour Symposium project involved creating a campaign for an event about Artificial Intelligence at the California State University of Sacramento. This campaign included a poster, a postcard, merchandise, and social media accounts and posts.
The main idea for this project was to create two beverage package illustrations for a winery named Talbott. There were two designs, one represented Talbott as an expensive bottle of wine, and the other represented Talbott as a cheap bottle of wine. The design included creating an illustrated label and attaching it to a wine bottle. This process required extensive research on Pinot Noir and the Monterey-based winery, Talbott.
